CARBON FOOTPRINT
TAKING ACTION TO REDUCE THE CARBON FOOTPRINT ON OUR PLANET AND ATMOSPHERE
PACKAGING MADE FROM SUGARCANE
Take Off Color is packaged in tubes made from Sugarcane PE (polyethylene). Sugarcane PE is a Biopolyethylene (renewable polyethylene) made out of ethanol, which becomes ethylene after a dehydration process. It can be made from various sources, one of which is sugarcane (a sustainable crop). The ethanol is a byproduct of sugar manufacture.
Sugarcane is a renewable eco-friendly source as it reproduces in cycles of less than one year. It is also considered to be a “carbon negative” crop, removing a lot of CO2 from the atmosphere. Once the sugarcane PE is made from the sugarcane, it is considered to be a “carbon neutral” process.
Intentionally selecting a packaging material made from a carbon neutral process helps to reduce overall carbon emissions into our atmosphere. Additionally, the use of a sustainable source aids in being mindful of our planets resources and not wasting.
Sugarcane PE is readily introduced into recycling systems in place. PLEASE RECYCLE!
USE OF SOLAR POWER
Take Off Color is formulated and filled into Sugarcane PE tubes at a solar powered facility. The use of solar power further reduces the amount of carbon emissions into our atmosphere.
